Child, Teen, and Family Therapy
In-person or Online via Telehealth
Child Counseling & Play Therapy
Kids can feel stressed and need therapy, too. If you’re concerned about your child’s emotional or mental health, come talk to us. We approach child therapy by building a solid relationship with your child that’s based on teamwork, acceptance, trust, nurturing interactions, and attachment. Our expert child therapists use the child’s language — play — to communicate with them, and we always work with parents to help you strengthen the relationship and attachment patterns.

Family Therapy
Being a parent is no easy task—it’s one of the toughest jobs there is. Every parent deserves support along the way. Many of our therapists are parents themselves, so they truly understand the joys and challenges that come with the journey. We’re here to help you navigate various aspects of parenting, from rediscovering your identity as a parent to developing effective parenting strategies.

Teen Therapy
Being a teenager can be overwhelming—and sometimes, it’s hard to find someone who really gets it. At Everwood Mental Health, we create a space where teens feel heard, supported, and respected—without being talked down to or dismissed.

We know that trust and validation are everything. That’s why our therapists work to build real, honest connections with teens, helping them open up in ways that feel natural and authentic. Whether a teen is navigating anxiety, school pressure, friendships, identity, or just trying to figure things out, we’re here to support them with care and understanding.

Our therapists use a mix of talk therapy, creative expression, movement-based strategies, and evidence-based techniques tailored to the teen’s unique personality and needs. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—and we’re committed to making it feel safe and meaningful for every teen who walks through our door.

Group Therapy
In-person
Group Therapy
Group mental health therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a trained mental health professional works with multiple individuals at the same time in a supportive and structured setting. Instead of meeting one-on-one, participants meet as a group - usually around 6 to 12 people - with sessions lasting about 60-120 minutes.
-
Shared focus: Groups may be general (addressing a range of mental health concerns like depression or anxiety) or specialized (focused on trauma, grief, substance abuse, or skill such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
-
Collaborative process: Members share experiences, provide feedback, and practice communication and coping strategies in real time.
-
Confidential environment: Like individual therapy, groups follow confidentiality rules to ensure trust and respect

Goals of Group Therapy
-
Reduce feelings of isolation by connecting with others facing similar challenges
-
Provide a safe space to share experiences and emotions
-
Develop practical coping and interpersonal skills
-
Learn from others' perspectives and strategies
-
Gain support, encouragement, and accountability
Group therapy is about healing together - individuals work on personal goals while benefiting from the collective strength, insight, and support of peers, under the guidance of a professional therapist.
